open for the season

Winding Way Watercolors is open for the season at the same location- 6 North Main in beautiful Rockland Maine. You can see the Rockland Breakwater lighthouse from in front of the gallery on a clear day. This season brings a new artist to the gallery. Her name is Diana Maddocks and she has been working at the gallery the past two seasons and now will show some of her work in the gallery.
The first show includes some of the pen,ink and watercolor paintings that I did in the Virgin Islands this past february. Kathy Lane also is showing some beautiful flowers and a picture of fiddleheads- an oddly beautiful plant that we eat here in Maine. This year we are selling "Watercolor Lessons in a Bag" which includes all of the things the beginning artist or enthusiast needs to do their own watercolors. The instruction book is by Charles Evans who is a popular artist in the UK. I looked for a while to find an artist I liked and whose style is similar to mine.
We hoping for a good tourist season in Maine but of course welcome all people who love watercolors to come by the gallery or see our work at www.windingwaywatercolors.org until next time, Anne
